Cecilia Cozzolino

“Seeing the dreamy expressions of my enraptured clients when faced with the beauty of my city fills me with joy, and knowing that I have contributed to this new awareness remains for me the greatest satisfaction.”

A little about me

I was born in Rome in 1984 before moving a few years later to Castel Gandolfo with my family, where I spent my childhood and adolescence surrounded by the natural and artistic beauty of the territory of the ‘Roman castles’. During my high school studies I discovered an innate predisposition toward humanistic subjects, especially to History of Art. The pleasure of always learning more about these artists and works led me to further pursue studies in this field at university. In this same period I took advantage of the Erasmus scholarship, allowing me to live six months in Seville, Spain. After graduating with honors in History of Art, I began collaborating with various cultural associations in Rome for which I designed tour routes and conducted guided tours for groups of adults and children. Later I chose to live several months in England where I joined the contemporary art gallery Onca Gallery in Brighton and the Roman Circus Centre in Colchester.

In 2015, having obtained the qualification as a tour guide for the Province of Rome, I started working with tourists from all over the world to discover the wonders of our territory. I deeply love my work, seeing the dreamy expressions of my enraptured clients when faced with the beauty of my city fills me with joy, and knowing that I have contributed to this new awareness remains for me the greatest satisfaction.

    Hi Cecilia,
Thank you again for an amazing experience in Rome. I enjoyed every moment taking in this abundance of history and sharing it in an exciting and honest way. I wish I could have had more time in this wonderful city and hear what else you have to share.
Thank you for being accommodating around an abrupt change in schedule and going the extra mile.
Wish you much success in the future and hope we can meet up on another tour some time soon in the future.

Cecilia is a truly amazing guide. She is not only intelligent and well-informed, but was able to bring the areas to life and explain things in a way that made it both interesting and easy to understand. But above all she is kind and patient, and was so helpful, a really lovely person! I would not hesitate in recommending her for any tour in Rome. Thank you for an amazing experience Cecilia!

Cecilia’s tour of the Colosseum and forum is not to be missed. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable but also is very passionate about her work. It is obvious that she thoroughly enjoys her job. The pictures that she brings along really help with visualising how it would have looked in the past, such a good idea. Cecilia is a friendly & cheerful person with such a lovely personality it would be hard to imagine not enjoying a tour lead by her. I would highly recommend booking your tour with Cecilia, you won’t regret it!

    My travel to Italy 2018

    Hello from USA!!
A very big thank you note to you from the bottom of my heart. Even though I took a long time to give you a review which I really wanted to. Finally I am little relaxed and now I would like to say:

We took this walking tour around Rome, Vatican City on a beautiful warm and sunny day in September not knowing much about the company nor a tour guide. Like most spontaneous decisions I make entire life, and it’s not only exceed my expectations but awakened my enthusiasm and interest in the Roman culture, history and arts.. Of course, it´s also because of the wonderful people around me as well as a good weather on that day! but the major contribution was made by my/our guide, Cecilia. Her tour – very informative sparkled with lots of good humor and definitely not boring. You can trust on her and I strongly recommend her to everyone.

Thank you again for the wonderful time that you have given it to me/us.

She was extremely knowledgable about all the sites we visited but also about every other part of Rome, including stores, restaurants, ways to get around, etc. We were so impressed and feel as though we truly made a friend in Cecilia!
